Mark 6:4 KJV \u2014 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark 6:1\u20136 paints a sobering picture. Jesus, full of power and wisdom, entered His hometown. The same hands that opened blind eyes, healed lepers, and raised the dead were now before His own people. They heard His words, they saw His works, yet they reduced Him to \u201cthe carpenter\u2019s son.\u201d Instead of receiving the grace available, they allowed familiarity and unbelief to blind them. The result? Scripture says He \u201ccould there do no mighty work.\u201d The limitation wasn\u2019t on Jesus\u2019 power, but on their honour and faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This passage reminds us that the flow of God\u2019s anointing is often tied to the posture of our hearts. Honour is the key that unlocks the blessings of God in our lives. When you trivialize or despise the vessel God has chosen, you shut the door to what that anointing carries for you. The people of Nazareth missed their visitation because they could not see beyond the ordinary to recognize the extraordinary. Beloved, the anointing you don\u2019t honour cannot bless you. If you want to see the power of God at work, cultivate honour \u2014 for God, for His servants, and for the grace He places on others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check your heart today. Are there graces and anointings around you that you\u2019ve despised out of familiarity, pride, or offence? Choose honour, and watch how God\u2019s power flows into your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Let the anointing I honour begin to work wonders in my life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
