  1. The travelling ministers must have faith:

Mark 16:14-20 reveals that the first thing the missionary needs is faith. Missions and soul winning can be very challenging. There are times when the work may not yield lots of fruits as expected. Without a strong faith, the very nature of missions can drown the missionary in depression and self-pity.

  1. The travelling ministers should be anointed:

Luke 24:44-53 instructs the missionary to wait until he is endued with power from on high. It is very dangerous to step into missions without the Holy Spirit and power. You cannot divide the spoil of a strong man unless you are stronger than him.

  1. The travelling ministers must be prayerful:

Luke 10:1-2 confirms that there will always be a lot of work to be done on the mission field; but a missionary should never complain. We should focus on getting the work done by praying and asking the Lord of the harvest to send labourers. A missionary should never complain; don’t complain if things don’t run like it does where you came from, pray instead of complaining. Don’t complain about the music, food, sleeping place, meeting place; that is why you are there to impart spiritual gifts to improve the church.
