Withstand in the Evil Day

All days are not equal and nothing can change that. Some days are bright and others are gloomy. You can’t change that, but you can get ready to withstand in any day.

You must live your life in such a way that you will be ready for any day. One man of God said “it’s better to live ready, than to get ready”. I believe God is preparing His church to be ready any day, any time.

We are constantly at war with the world, the devil and the flesh but some days are bad. These are the days when everything seems not to work right. Job, our brother in the faith, faced one of such days. In that day his children died and he lost his property and his health (See Job 1).

I pray for you that the Lord would spare you from facing an evil day, in Jesus’ name! May the Lord prevent you from going out to encounter such an evil day. May all your days be brighter and brighter unto the perfect day! (See Proverbs 4:18)

In any case, to withstand in the evil day;

1. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might: You will need such readiness in the evil day.

2. Put on the whole armour of God: Another indispensable requirement for withstanding in an evil day.

3. Resolve to withstand come what may: We need to make up our minds. The mindset of an overcomer is needed for withstanding in an evil day.
